We are delighted to welcome local orthodontist, Dr Yul Kim, who will be sharing his wealth of knowledge and experiences on teeth retention.
ABOUT YUL
A natural tinkerer, Dr Yul Kim was initially trained as a computer engineer and worked in software engineering industry in New Zealand for several years. His desire to work directly with people and to work with hands has led him to pursue dentistry as his new career. After graduating with first class honours at Griffith University, Yul worked as a general dentist in both rural and metropolitan areas of Australia during which he gained special interest in orthodontics. He then committed himself to become a specialist orthodontist by pursuing further three years of post-graduate studies at The University of Adelaide.

Since the completion of the specialist training, Yul has worked in Adelaide Dental Hospital as a senior orthodontist as well as in other private orthodontic clinics in Adelaide. After moving around all over Australia for the past 12 years, he now has decided to settle down in beautiful Canberra to call it home.

Yul is passionate about creating the best smile using the latest digital technology. He attends conferences, both nationally and internationally, to learn and develop the best techniques available to provide efficient and fast treatment.
When he is not with his patients, Yul is either working on small software projects, taking photographs, playing the guitar, or the piano. He has a cheeky young girl, Zoe, who keeps him cheerful at all times.
