Peri-Implantitis: A Threadful Dilemma

Special thanks to Dr Hugh Lenehan for his presentation last night at our first dinner meeting for 2018! It was a great evening.

Blurb:

The explosion of implant dentistry has enabled clinicians a greater repertoire of treatment options to offer their patients. With this diverse treatment remedy, the presence of biologic complications has become an inevitable problem that clinicians need to address in common practice.

This seminar will discuss diagnosis and management of peri-implant disease. Clinical tips from a surgical, prosthetic and plaque control viewpoint will be addressed to highlight prevention of peri-implant inflammation.

About Hugh:

Hugh completed his dental training with honours in 2009 at Sydney University and worked as a dental officer for 2 years at Westmead hospital. During this time, Hugh completed the primary and secondary examinations with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and worked a further 2 years in private dental practice in regional SA. This enabled a pathway into an intensive DClinDent program in Periodontics that was completed in 2016 at Sydney University. Hugh has since enjoyed working with periodontal and implant patients at Capital Periodontics and spends most of his free time cooking for his wife Elise and entertaining their newborn baby boy, Archer.
